Dr-Viola-Lindsey-VonnOn Saturday November 7, 2015 Colorado hand specialist Dr. Randy Viola treated American World Cup alpine ski racer Lindsey Vonn after she sustained a thumb injury while breaking up a dogfight. Vonn, a local to Vail, Colorado, intervened between her two dogs fighting over a frisbee. Her injury did not slow her down, she was back on the slopes the following day.

A month after getting treated for her thumb injury, Vonn completed her third career hat-trick of World Cup wins at Lake Louise with back-to-back downhill triumphs on Friday December, 4 and Saturday December, 5, 2015. Vonn posted the largest women’s World Cup super-G winning margin in nearly 19 years.
