Dr. Viola is proud to be affiliated with the Vail Health Surgery Center, Vail Health (operates there Wednesday and Friday), Peak One Surgery Center and Summit Medical Center (operates there on Thursdays). All affiliated medical centers are world-class hospital systems in the heart of  Valley. The Vail Health Surgery Center is renowned for offering the most advanced state-of-the-art surgical instruments, computer and robotic technology, as well as a compassionate and skilled staff of board-certified anesthesiologists, nurses, technicians, and office staff.

Consistently ranked among the best hospitals in the United States for trauma, emergency, and acute cases, our center is fully equipped to treat patients regardless of their situation. Avatar International, the leader in measuring customer expectations in healthcare, has recognized Vail Health as a national award winner in healthcare service quality with two awards:

  • Overall Best Performer Award – for consistently high standards of patient care across multiple service lines (awarded only to the top five percent of hospitals listed in Avatar’s National Database)
  • Exceeding Patient Expectations Awards – for high patient satisfaction scores.

After your initial consultation with Dr. Viola, if it has been determined that a surgical procedure will be your next step towards treating your hand, wrist, or elbow injury, your next step will be to speak with our surgical coordinators to schedule your surgery and complete any remaining paperwork.

Dr. Viola provides each patient undergoing surgery a distinct set of written guidelines for pre-operative, post-operative and rehabilitation recovery. Those will be discussed and provided to you in detail upon your pre-surgery visit but they are also included here for your information.
